Cities are known to be large human settlements. Defined as a permanent and densely settled place with administratively defined boundaries, cities generally have extensive systems for housing, transportation, sanitation, utilities, land use, and communication. So, the prospect of urban innovation excites the imagination, even more, the dreaming of what a “smart city” will look like in some gleaming future, and is by its nature an exciting innovative gesture.
