Port Harcourt Polo Club
If you love horses or are interested in the game of polo then you have to visitĀ Port Harcourt Polo Club. Established in 1972 , the club is recognized to have one of the best playing fields for the game of polo in the country. Located alongĀ Tombia Street, G. R. A. Phase II, some of the amazing features of the club include;
- A large polo playing field and an accompanying practice field
- Paddocks, stables, lush green lawns, tree-lined driveway
- Clubhouse
Though a lot of people only associate the club with the game of polo, its field can also be rented out for other events and activities. Since the club has a strict membership policy, non-members of the club would have to go through the clubās management team before they can use this space for private events.
The club also hosts other events like children excursions that allow kids to see the horses and even feed them, sporting events, childrenās day celebrations, and Christmas day events were orphaned kids from Cheshire Home are sponsored to the event.

Civic Centre
Located along Moscow Road, the Alfred Diette-SpiffĀ Civic Centre is fully equipped to Olympic standards to house various indoor and outdoor sporting activities. In 2016, the state government gave the sporting complex a facelift as part of the plan to revitalize the city. From swimming pools to the basketball court, boxing ring, handball, volleyball, table tennis, the Center has today set the standards for sporting activities in the state.
The Civic Centre is also equipped with event halls of various sizes and capacity for public use.
The halls are fully equipped with air conditioning, lavatory facilities, and a separate space for serving meals to guests. It provides the perfect space and comfort for events while still providing amazing views and scenery.
The Atrium
This is one of the many modern event centers in the Garden City located at 28 Stadium Road, a 5-minute drive from the Nigerian Air Force Base. Stadium road, where the Port Harcourt Stadiumis located hence its name, is known to house many event venues for weddings, birthday parties, and other official events.
What is particularly interesting aboutĀ The AtriumĀ is that the event center has 3 independent halls inside the same building. Each hall has its own individual power supply, sound system, projector and other facilities separate from the other halls. This means that three separate events can happen comfortably in the event center.
With a capacity range of 300 ā 1500 guests depending on the size of the hall, the Atrium provides uninterrupted power supply for up to 8 hours and more including VIP changing rooms for invitees.
